Job Title: Davenport Screw Machine Setup Operator
Shift:5PM-3:30AM Monday-Thursday
Pay: $22-31/hr based on experience
Summary:
The Davenport Screw Machine Setup Operator is responsible for setting up and operating Davenport machines to manufacture various fasteners and special products. This role requires expertise in machine operation, precision measurement, and adherence to quality standards.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Operate multiple multi-spindle screw/Davenport machines according to detailed blueprints, specifications, and work orders.
- Select and obtain proper materials and tooling for each job.
- Check and rework tooling as needed to ensure parts meet print specifications.
- Make minor machine adjustments and regulate functions such as coolant flow.
- Change out collets, feeders, spindle stops, cams, and gears to layout specifications.
- Notify supervisor or lead of major malfunctions or when maintenance is required.
- Utilize precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers) for inspections before, during, and after production runs.
- Perform record-keeping, data entry, and maintain cleanliness in the work area.
- Identify and address cosmetic non-conformances, initiating action to prevent issues.
- Assist in waste elimination initiatives related to production material recycling.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience operating Multi-Spindle Screw/Davenport machinery or a combination of education and experience.
- Proficient in blueprint interpretation, key process parameters, and SPC data acquisition.
