Job Description:
Responsible for the administration of ionizing radiation to patients of all ages for diagnostic, therapeutic procedures, and/or research purposes, which utilize advanced aspects of computer assisted, digital image recording, and analysis systems. The technologist assists radiologists with interventional biopsy procedures. This position is also responsible for the independent operation of radiographic equipment and for providing high quality diagnostic images to the radiologist and referring physicians.
Education Qualifications:
Graduate of an Allied Health Education and Accreditation (AMA) Radiography program.
Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Mammography certification required within 24 months of hire if not currently certified.
