Responsibilities:
- Develops a treatment plan and/or appropriate follow-up by performing initial and ongoing assessment of the patient’s condition.
- Provides speech therapy services.
- Documents delivery of speech therapy services.
- Attends patient care meetings and actively participates in planning for the provision of speech/language services
- Works across departments to maintain daily workflow for provision of Speech/Language Pathology Services.
- Assists departmental leadership in ensuring quality Speech/Language Pathology services.
- Supervision of SLP-A in outpatient setting, to include direct and indirect patient caseload coordination.
Qualifications:
Education
- Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology.
Experience
- Previous experience in hospital preferred; dysphagia experience preferred
- Medicare documentation experience preferred.
- For Outpatient setting: Experience with outpatients, pediatric feeding, dysphagia management, Vital Stim certification and medicare documentation preferred.
Lisensure / Certifiation
- Current Oklahoma license for Speech-Language Pathology or SLP license eligible with a temporary license, or eligible for a temporary license.
- Must have ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence or complete with in the first year under a licensed therapist as a CFY.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment.
Compensation/Benefits
- $31.31 -$51.14 /hr depending on previous work experience.
