Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $20 hr
Schedule: mon-fri 8am-5pm onsite What’s a typical day as a Claims Analyst? You’ll be:
• Responsible for configuring and building an internal SQL data
• Managing and coordinating with the current claim vendor the transfer process
• Building and establishing a new SQL data store environment
• Developing and implementing backup extracts and protocols to support backups for the new ongoing claim operations.
• Developing SQL extracts from the data store according to the new claim vendor's specifications required to load the historical claims data into the new claim system.
• Developing and implementing reporting necessary for the IPA to meet its required claims operations and delegated reporting and audit responsibilities.
• Integrating EDI files (834, inbound and outbound 837's) and encounter reporting mandated by health plans.
• Defining, building, and productional suite of claims-based utilization and financial performance reporting for management and daily operations.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have demonstrated expert competency in data mining software including SQL/relational databases.
• Are proficient in MS Office components including Access, Excel, and Visio.
• Have competency using one or more report writing tools.
• Can develop, document, and implement automated continuous monitoring of systems and associated policies and procedures.
• Have strong oral and written communication skills.
• Preferably have a Bachelor's Degree.
• Have 5 or more years of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining large and dynamic databases (SQL Server or MS Access) and reporting (Excel or Crystal).
• Possess business knowledge and technical skills to actively participate in the development and production of claims-based reporting and analytics.
• Have at least 3-5 years of experience in a healthcare delivery or healthcare business setting.
• Have critical thinking skills with a demonstrated work history of problem-solving in a diverse environment using analysis and manipulation of large data sets.
• Have managed at least 1-3 staff.
