Caregiver for Outings and Activities in the Community

FHA Outings and Activity DSP:
- Provide support and companionship one-on-one with an adult with intellectual or developmental disabilities out in the community doing activities like: outings/field trips, activities and events, shopping and eating out, developmental goal-based activities. Individuals in this program are high-functioning and typically do not need hands-on support with personal hygiene.
- Schedule: Part-time and full-time available; Schedule is very flexible - Shifts are in the late afternoon/evenings on weekdays and during the day on weekends - weekend availability is required for this position since this is when most of the outings are scheduled
- Pay Rate: $17.27 - $18.50/hour plus mileage reimbursement for using your vehicle for outings (you will get more mileage reimbursement with this program)

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO SEVITA
- Education: High School Diploma or GED/equivalent
- Experience: Six months of experience in human services or direct care preferred
- License: Valid CA driver’s license in good standing; must have had driver's license for at least one year
- Vehicle: Access to a reliable vehicle with registered vehicle with proof of insurance
- Clearances: Must be able to pass criminal and driver history background checks and a physical and TB test
- Skills: Communication, multi-tasking, adaptability, teamwork, time management
- Behaviors: Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible
