Avante Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking an RN Wound Care Nurse.
The ideal candidate will share our heartfelt approach to caring for the adult residents of our community.
The Wound Care Nurse will provide monitoring of existing pressure ulcers, with recommendations for treatment changes in the absence of improvement. They will Recommend and implement preventative interventions to prevent skin breakdown for immobile and inactive residents
in accordance with state and federal regulations. They will direct and supervise the restorative needs of all residents, in cooperation with the Rehab Director and Director of Nursing, for the purpose of preventing decline and maintain the highest practicable level of functioning.
Qualifications: - Must be a Registered Nurse with license in good standing, with previous hospital, long-term care and restorative or wound care experience.
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must speak and understand English
- Must be able to supervise and instruct others.
- Previous supervisory experience or completion of appropriate training program, or as required by state law.
- Positive attitude toward the elderly.
Education and Experience: - Must be a Registered Nurse in the appropriate State.
- Previous experience in Long Term Care preferred.
