Purpose of Position
Represents AW professionally by greeting patients and company representatives in courteous, friendly, and efficient manner. Ensures the efficient functioning of clinical services to customers of AW. Under direct medical or nursing supervision, assists in the delivery of prompt, quality occupational health services at AnovaWorks clinics.
**Travel within Central and Eastern Washington Required**
Essential Job Functions
· Greets patients and visitors promptly and courteously. Maintains positive, professional relationships with customers and employers
· Answers telephones, transfers, and screens incoming calls appropriately
· Assists in coordinating services, providers, and other personnel to ensure delivery of smooth, timely patient service
· Schedules patient visits and testing
· Prepares patient charts and department forms per clinic standards
· Accurately obtains and enters client demographics, audiometric results, vital signs, patient history and other data and documentation as needed into computer system. Modifies and retrieves data as directed
· Obtains vital signs and patient history information. Records accurately in patient records
· Provides occupational health services, such as pulmonary function testing, hearing testing, CLIA-waived laboratory testing (Influenza A/B, strep, COVID-19 Rapid Antigen testing), and respirator fit testing
· Administers medication and immunizations within scope of practice and as ordered by the provider
· Performs sample collection for blood analysis and urinalysis
· Arranges for lab tests, X-rays, and other tests/procedures as ordered and notifies patients of test/procedure appointments as directed. Releases results as directed by medical provider
· Cleans and stocks exam rooms, orders medical supplies and equipment. Maintains calibration records and informs proper staff of upcoming calibration needs
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Completion of Medical Assistant course, or equivalent with qualifications required for MA-C certification (Required)
· Previous work experience in medical setting (desirable, not required)
· Excellent customer services skills
· Strong computer skills with experience in Microsoft office or equivalent programs
· Phlebotomy (desirable, not required)
· Travel within Central and Eastern Washington Required
Licenses/ Certifications(certifications can be attained upon hire)
- Occupational Hearing Conservationist (COHC) Certification.
- NIOSH Spirometry Certification.
- Current BLS certification.
Compensation details: 20-25 Hourly Wage
