Position Summary:
Responsible for coordinating and conducting field technician physical inventories. Performs physical count of inventory, research discrepancies, reconciles actual stock count and adjusts errors in computation or count. Prepares inventory reports after investing reasons for discrepancies. Works with warehouse staff, technicians, and supervisors to ensure continued inventory accuracy. May perform other routine clerical and warehouse duties, including data entry, shipping receiving and research in support of the facilities department. The position requires excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and experience in inventory counting. Must have a strong work ethic, be detail oriented with attention to process performance. Previous experience with Microsoft software, including Excel, Word and Outlook are required.
Responsibilities:
1. Performs work under minimal supervision while leading others in the inventory process.
2. Utilize inventory management system and other systems to maintain accurate inventory.
3. Coordinate and conduct weekly “Cycle Count” and Physical Inventories of multiple warehouses and technician’s truck inventories.
4. Lead people in the inventory process by assist with physical counting, recording data and managing the inventory process.
5. Manage data between computer systems/platforms using templates, data loaders and manual entry as needed.
6. Maintain inventory accuracy using discrepancy research, processing approved adjustments, and maintaining supporting documentation and final reporting.
7. Pulling, labeling, and staging new technician truck inventories as well as the physical counting, inspection and processing of close-out inventories.
8. Special projects and other duties as directed by management.
Working Relationships: This team member works with, internal warehouse and field supervisors, as well as representatives from other departments in construction, accounting, IT and others. Works with vendors and parts suppliers to ensure accuracy of inventory. Makes recommendations to improve the process regarding inventory shrink and errors in inventory accuracy.
Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Education: High School Diploma or GED
Minimum Experience: 1-3 years of inventory-related experience. Familiar with Microsoft office programs including Excel and Outlook.
Preferred Experience: 3-5 years of inventory-related experience, proficient in computer operations with advanced familiarity with Microsoft Office, specifically MS Excel and experience with inventory management software.
Licenses/Certifications: None. Forklift and OSHA Certification preferred. Electric Pallet Jack Operation a plus.
Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, highly organized, excellent ability to multitask and able to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Driving/Fleet Vehicle Requirement: Approval to drive company vehicle required
Travel: Infrequent travel regionally.
Physical: Some lifting (up to 80 lbs.), Repetitive motions requiring use of both wrists and hands, must be comfortable sitting and/or standing for long periods of time and physical activity including bending, walking, kneeling, climbing
Hours & Conditions: 40 hours, 8:00am -4:30 pm M-F, infrequent OT and weekend work may be required. Ability to work in various work environments with potential exposure to cold and heat
