The Opportunity:
Ocean Dermatology is a fast paced, fast growing private practice looking for an experienced medical assistant to join our Jackson, NJ team. Youre your typical day will include:
- Performing a variety of clinical tasks, including taking patient histories, documenting medical information, preparing and assisting with dermatological procedures, and providing wound care.
- Preparing examination rooms, sanitize medical instruments, and maintain a clean and organized clinical workspace
- Ensuring accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR), following HIPAA guidelines and maintaining patient confidentiality
- Educating patients on treatment plans, skincare routines, and post-procedure care instructions.
- Collaborating closely with the healthcare team to optimize patient flow, enhance clinic efficiency, and support positive patient outcomes
Your skills and qualifications will include:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Certification as a Medical Assistant is highly desirable
- Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in a dermatology clinic or similar setting, demonstrating a strong understanding of dermatological procedures, conditions, and treatment
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and other relevant medical software
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, effectively multitasking and prioritizing responsibilities
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational abilities, and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality
