The Position
This position is responsible for managing the occupational health nursing program at Hanford. You will provide oversight and management of clinical staff and operations in conjunction with the Site Occupational Medical Director (SOMD) and the Nursing Director.
Responsibilities
· Manage the day-to-day operations of the occupational health nursing team.
· Provide direct nursing care, as needed. Conduct initial health assessments and screenings for injuries, illnesses, and mandated occupational exams, including pre-employment and annual physicals, which may include drug testing.
· Coordinate with other healthcare providers to ensure appropriate and high-quality care is consistently provided.
· Provide educational in-service training on various topics related to occupational health nursing, including worksite health and safety, clinical skills, and use of the electronic health record.
· Stay current with occupational health nursing best practices and relevant regulations and ensure organizational compliance.
· Support recruitment/retention efforts for nursing staff, including but not limited to addressing employee relations concerns, completing performance assessments, coordinating staffing to ensure access to care, and providing guidance and mentorship to nursing staff.
· Participate in the development/implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, DOE contract requirements, and AAAHC accreditation standards.
· Assist in developing and implementing emergency response plans for health-related incidents in the workplace.
· Develop and manage an onsite influenza vaccination program.
· Participate in quality assurance program to ensure records and reports meet all organizational and legal requirements.
· Maintain confidentiality of protected health information in compliance with the Privacy Act and HIPAA.
· Other related duties/tasks as assigned.

Requirements:
Education / Experience
· Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
· Minimum 4+ years nursing experience required.
· Minimum 2+ years of management experience required.
· Occupational health nursing, urgent care clinic, or emergency department experience preferred.
· Experience in infection prevention and control (e.g., APIC certification) preferred.
License / Certifications
· Current, valid unrestricted Washington state RN license required.
· Current basic cardiac life support (BLS) certification required.
· Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
· Current certification as an Occupational Health Nurse (COHN/COHN-S) preferred.

$105,000- $115,000 per year
