Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - ICU
Shift: Nights / 7p-7a, 12x3, 36 hrs per week, No call
Length: 13 weeks
Weekend rotation: Every other; travel pairs are allowed to work the same weekend generally
Holiday Expectations: yes, as needed
Requirements:
- ME License
- 2 years experience
- 1 year ICU experience
- Charge RN experience and willingness to act as Charge
- Chest tubes, traches, drains, wound vacs, IVs, PCAs, Epidurals (rare), CVP, A-Line care/blood draws
- Insulin gtts, Cardiac gtts
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
Other details:
- Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes
- Nursing must read and interpret strips for ICU and MSU
- May float to Med Surg to take a patient assignment (ratio 1:5 days & 1:6 nights)
- May float to ED to task/as helping hands
Beds: Mixed acuity unit - 9 ICU beds available, mixed ICU and Med Surg level patients, continuously changes based on inpatient acuity & census
Patient Types:
Vents, Sepsis, PNA, DKA, Detox, CHF, COPD exacerbation
Surgical complications: Total Joints (knees, hips, etc.), General Surgical, Appendicitis, Colectomies, Small Bowel Resection, Urology (Turps, Cystos)
Patient’s with substance use disorder in addition to other medical issues
Pediatric patients that must stay overnight after surgery (Rare)
Patient Ratios:
1:3 – acuity based
Support on the Unit:
Charge nurse: takes assignment most shifts
RT, 24/7
Hospitalist, 24/7
Centralized Tele monitoring tech
Charting System: Cerner
Scrub Color: Any color, must be professional

Pay rate is estimated based on weekly gross income.
Weekly gross pay based on qualifications and experience. Rate applies to travel positions only (50+ miles from permanent address).
