SALARY: $59,000 - $64,000, bonus eligible
LOCATION: Basecamp – Devils Backbone
ROLE SUMMARY:
The Senior Accountant will perform complex work assisting in the maintenance of the company’s accounting and financial practices and programs. This position works under the direction of the Controller and with functional management and staff to maintain sound accounting practices, as well as to teach employees the importance of stewardship. This is a managerial position that will oversee one team member. CPA or considerable experience may warrant Senior Accountant distinction and compensation.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Executes adequate financial cost controls to mitigate risks.
Ensures timely collection of Accounts Receivable and payment of Accounts Payable.
Trains staff on the importance of sound accounting practices, and relevant SOPs.
Assists in the management of month end and year end closing procedures to include:
Bank account reconciliation
Intercompany reconciliation
Capex asset management
Minimum Internal Controls (MICS) reporting
Latest Estimates (LE)
Maintains check register and manage deposits.
Manages fleet and mobile assets.
Completes special projects and other duties as assigned by the Controller.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred.
Beer-Industry experience preferred.
Experience with SAP, Orchestrated Obeer, Toast, XtraCHEF, ECM or IDC preferred.
Must be an organized, efficient problem solver with critical thinking skills.
Must be able to document and communicate processes to ensure compliance.
Must establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and vendors.
Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office and other office related software.
Knowledge of FASB standards.
Knowledge of accounting practices and standards.
