The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Production Controller (Automotive), (GS-1152-07) to work at the 17th Logistics Readiness Squadron at Goodfellow AFB, located in San Angelo, Texas.
In this position you will schedule, initiate, and control work orders, establishes priorities, and coordinates requirements with the vehicle maintenance section and/or outside units. Analyzes and maintains related vehicle maintenance records.

Salary Range
$49,025 - $63,733 Annually (Based on experience)

This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.
Duties and Responsibilities

Administers all automated vehicle maintenance production programs and systems. Using procedures outlined in the latest Air Force guidance and other locally established policies and procedures, plans all vehicle inspections, services and scheduled maintenance requirements. Independently performs repetitive and uncomplicated tasks related to processing work orders and coordinating unscheduled vehicle maintenance. Assigns priorities, schedules work and uses good judgment and flexibility in planning work requirements. Controls the movement of vehicles and equipment to and from the work centers and service providers.

Controls utilization to provide optimum support and economy of vehicle through the analysis of monthly management information system data and review of effectiveness of motor transportation policies and procedures. Establishes maintenance requirements and scheduled maintenance intervals for all fleet vehicles in accordance with established procedures and methods.

Performs analytical support for vehicle maintenance process. Compiles information for studies of vehicular management and performance data, procedures, and processes. Analyzes information and makes recommendations used in a variety of reports and briefings.

Assists the fleet manager in managing and accounting for vehicle control/inventory programs. Manages and accounts for USAF vehicles assets, all tenant unit vehicles, and General Service Administration (GSA) vehicles assigned to the installation. Responsible for acquisition, assignment, rotation, inventory, and disposition of all
vehicular assets.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA’s)

Knowledge of governing vehicle maintenance/management regulations, policies, procedures, techniques, and methods.

Knowledge of production/material control functions, operations, program requirements, and work methods.

Skill in data entry and processing of transactions in the On-line Vehicle Interactive Management System (OLVIMS).

Skill in maintaining official files, records, and listings.

Ability to apply basic analytical methods to determine trends and make recommendations to correct unfavorable developments.

Ability to select commonly used neutralization techniques; apply technical manuals, manufacturer’s diagrams and specifications; and determine work sequence.

Ability to apply an extensive body of fleet management regulations, policies, procedures, techniques and methods.
