**Weekend incentive pay available for relevant schedules.The CT Tech is responsible for the following:
- Performs routine imaging examinations in CT on a scheduled and emergency basis.
- Reviews and evaluates requisitions for CT imaging procedures, abstracting data from patient charts and determining appropriateness of procedure prescribed given diagnosis and clinical signs for CT examinations.
- Identify patients according to Hospital Policy with 2 identifiers.
- Performs basic imaging analysis (e.g. 3D).
- Selects appropriate equipment and technical factors to identify pathologic and normal anatomy.
- Assesses patients' and parents' physical and emotional status and ability to respond to instructions and develops plan for adjusting to patients' specific needs.
- Explain the examination and is able to answer questions from patient and parents regarding the exam and Radiation exposure, practices ALARA.
- Consistently provides exceptional care and exceptional service.
- Follows Departmental QC/Exam Data Integrity Workflow Expectations
- Practices High Reliability Training.
- Responds to the uniqueness of the patient, creating a supportive environment for the patient and the family.
- Identifies and reports equipment malfunctions.
- Assists in organizing and maintaining daily operations of section.
- Participates in departmental and hospital meetings.
- Completes all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Complies with ETU.
- Complies with HIPAA regulations.

- Furthers professional education and maintains knowledge of current regulations and standards, policies and procedures.
- Maintains up-to-date licensure/certification/registration in departmental file.
The CT Tech must have the following:
- RT/CT Massachusetts State License
- Advanced CT Massachusetts State License is required within 12 months of hire date for CT trainees.
- RT/CT registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT)
- Must meet, successfully complete, and maintain the ARRT certification.
- BLS certification
- Associates degree in Allied Health
- 1 year of experience working as a Radiologic Technologist
