X-ray Tech, available for a newly opened contract opportunity in Gaithsburg, Maryland.
Opportunity Specifics:- Contract Type: Radiology Technologist (X-ray experience required)
- Setting: Occupational Medicine/Urgent Care Clinic
- Start Date: ASAP - Mid-December (possibility of extensions)
- Shift Days: Monday - Friday
- Shift hours: 9:30am - 6:00pm; 30-minute lunch
Candidate Requirements:- RT licensed through Maryland and AART
- Required Skills: critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- X-Ray experience Required for Urgent Care
- When not functioning as a Rad-Tech, you will provide support and assist the team as a Medical Assistant
- CPR required
- Basic Computer Skills
Responsibilities: - Perform 75% Medical Assistant duties, including rooming patients, taking vitals, conducting drug and alcohol testing, and provide basic wound care.
- Conduct 25% of duties involving radiological disagnostic examinations
- Administer and oversee radiological diagnostic exams for patients.
- Operate radiological equipment, develop film, and ensure accurate diagnostic imaging.
- Prepare and position patients for radiological procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Provide direct patient care during X-Ray exams and collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
