About the Role:
The Air Force Test Center is looking for a Term Position Logistic Management Specialist (NH-0346-02) to work at the 412th Logistics Readiness Squadron, (LRS/LGRDX) at Edwards Air Force Base.
Warfighters delivering global logistics support for The Center of the Aerospace Testing Universe (TCOTATU). Assist support Planning, Deployment Office in areas of support agreement management, contingency and mobilization management, war reserve materiel management and internal studies. Responsible for the review, validation, administration and maintenance of Wing Support Agreements as required in accordance with DoDI 4000.19 and AFI 25-20 I.

Location: Edwards, CA (Edwards Air Force Base)
Typical 2024 salary range: $46,020 - $109,673 per year (includes locality)
Telework Information: Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and Office of Personnel Management (OPM) prescribed "Unscheduled Telework"
Travel Requirements: Up to 25% travel possible
Temp/Term Statement: This position is a TERM position NOT to exceed 14/02/2026 but may be extended or lead to a permanent position.
Direct Hire Authority: NO 6-MONTH WAIT! Recently retired and/or retiring from MILITARY service ARE eligible for immediate appointment for AFTC positions. The 180-day waiting period has been waived for AFTC to hire recently retired and/or retiring service members.Desired Skills:
- 1 year equivalent to at least next lower grade level
- Broad knowledges of a wide variety of logistics support activities.
- Understand the functional fields involved in sufficient depth to accurately understand and analyze the logistics management implications of the information obtained.
Major Duties:
- Maintains current appointment letters for wing Functional Area Agreement Coordinators (FAACs) and standardized supplier statements.
- Works closely with Deployment Control Center (DCC) personnel to direct deployment activities during real world emergencies and exercises.
- Plans, evaluates, tracks and provides budgetary, maintenance accountability and storage reporting of WRM assets.
- Compiles and tracks program accounting and financing responsibilities for base mobility bags and other deployment equipment/supply expenditures.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Obtain & maintain Security clearance (if applicable)
- Ability to plan and conduct complex, multi-faceted functional activities simultaneously.
- Ability to recognize and analyze problems, conducts research, summarizes results, and make appropriate recommendations.
- Knowledge of retail logistics doctrine and Air Force wartime planning process
