How You Will Make an Impact
The Corporate Supply Chain Manager oversees the management of materials and planning for the organization to align with financial goals, operational improvements, and customer on-time delivery expectations. Working cross-functionally, the Corporate Supply Chain Manager develops procedures, metrics, and reporting in coordination with areas such as sales, marketing, finance, and production. This position will also assist with the continued creation of the supply chain strategy and further integration of supply chain concepts into the organization.
The Nuts and Bolts
- Supports Management of MRP parameters in ERP systems to ensure proper outputs are maintained
- On-time delivery performance and continued implementation of a system-driven metric
- Manage activities related to material requirements planning and controlling inventory
- Implementation and utilization of scheduling software solution
- Implement new or improved supply chain processes to improve efficiency or performance
- Reporting and metric development and monitoring
- Own the SIOP process and solidify the importance of adherence to the plan within the organization
- Monitor forecasts to determine effects on supply chain activities
- Assist with the development of cycle count procedures
- Participate in the coordination of engineering changes, product line extensions, or new product launches to ensure orderly and timely transitions in material or production flow
- Own and monitor forecasting and management of inventory turns with weekly reporting to ELT
- Diagram supply chain processes and metrics to help facilitate discussions with customers
- Establish stocking levels in line with financial goals and expected fill rate performance
- Evaluate and select technology-based solutions to improve tracking and reporting of planning, inventory and customer demand
- Logistics planning and optimization to include freight planning and cost savings opportunities
- Develop SOP’s for Supply Chain related activities
- Experience with reporting and analytics tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Experience working in an ERP system (JDE preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to manage inventory turns
Required Credentials
- APICS CPIM a plus
- 5 to 10 years of successful experience in Supply Chain Management or Materials Management
- Manufacturing industry experience preferred
- Knowledge of logistics and transportation is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in operations, supply chain management or business
