Utilize sophisticated medical equipment to monitor the vital signs of patients in their unit. Work with physicians to develop treatment plans for patients in the telemetry unit, and supervise the work of licensed practical nurses and nursing assistants who provide basic patient care.
Education- Associate's degree in Nursing required
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
Licenses and Certifications- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure in the state of Maryland required
- CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days required
- Additional unit/specialty certifications may vary by department or business unit.
- Telemetry course required
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification ACLS preferred
