Their application MUST show some 1:5 ratio experience in the Work History section for SD or PCU, otherwise, the managers will not review it. Be sure this is added to the application prior to submitting in order to avoid delay. Also note, ICU exp does not count towards SD/PCU exp at this facility, therefore, you MUST have SD/PCU experience to be considered.

*Unit participates/may participate in team nursing model where RNs, LPNs, and PCTs partner together to care for a group of patients. The goal of this model is to divide the work and not the patients, ultimately improving both the workload and patient care. Nurses may function in either team nursing or primary nursing depending on the needs of the unit.

• Pass an online EKG tele competency assessment before starting the assignment
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH. IV Start preferred
• Nurses will be fitted for N95 before working on the HRRU unit unless PAPR is offered/needed.
1.5 years exp and some level 1 or 2 preferred
• Travel experience preferred

Unit Details:
• 36 Bed – Neuroscience/High-Risk Respiratory
• An intermediate care neuroscience unit.
• Currently we are a mixed acuity (med surge/intermediate care) High-Risk Respiratory Unit.
• Neuroscience Intermediate Care Unit provides professional skilled care to a diverse patient population, including cerebrovascular accident (CVA), transient ischemic attack (TIA), seizures, and neuro.
• SE 10 is currently a high-risk respiratory unit and will return to a neuro intermediate care unit when the MVH COVID number of patients decreases.
• SE 10 nurses are responsible for staffing the 36 HRRU/Covid beds and floating to the Neuro ICU.
• SE 10 staff are assigned appropriate patients within the Neuro ICU and are assigned a buddy.
• Use heated high flow, bipaps
