Overview:
Education: Graduate of an approved school of nursing. BSN preferred.Licensure: Current RN licensure with Board of Nursing in applicable state of practice or current RN temporary work permit in appliable state of practice. Experience: Three to five years' experience in a critical care or emergency room setting. Previous leadership/management experience required. Prefer management experience in emergency room setting.Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS or ENPC Certification required within 90 days of hire. TNCC required within the first year of employment.Other: Demonstrates skill in human relations and communications is required. Must have demonstrated clinical expertise in their area of responsibility.
Qualifications:
- Education: BSN or in progress.
- Licensure: Current license in applicable State of practice for Registered Nurse.
- Experience: 3 or more years of Nursing with at least a year in perioperative nursing experience.
- Certification/Registration: Must have American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or complete a course within probation period. Must have ACLS or complete within probation period. Perioperative certification (i.e., CAPA, CSPAN) preferred.Other skills & knowledge (abilities, knowledge, abilities): Demonstrates skills in human relations and communication; written, verbal, and electronic. Demonstrates clinical competence in patient care delivery. Possesses the ability to assess data and assist personnel in providing appropriate level of care. Performs responsibilities in the spirit of the Mercy Mission and Charism. Makes decisions and determines actions using the Mercy Values as a guide. May be required to work differing schedules, shifts, days of the week, or work frequency according to patient care needs. Interacting with other Departments in a positive customer service manner, assuring that the Perioperative customers experience will be one of courtesy, compassion, clinical excellence and outstanding service in a safe efficient manner.
- Preferred experience: Management experience.
- Preferred Certification/Registration: Perioperative related certification (i.e., CSPAN, CAPA) preferred. Certification in a specialty of Nursing preferred.
