Special Procedures/Unit Details: Level 1 Trauma facility, dedicated trauma ICU unit with TNCC or TCAR certification, NIH stroke certification, Resident physician in unit coverage 24/7
Special Equipment: Nx-Stage- CRRT, Belmont rapid infuser, Hot line fluid warmer, Artic Sun- for targeted temperature management, EKOS
Certification Required - ACLS, BLS, NIH
Work Settings: Surgical Intensive Care Unit
Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias
Endocrine/Metabolic: IV insulin protocols
IV therapy: Accessing Ports, Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, PICC line management, Starting IVs
