In this position, you will serve as an Operations Research Analyst/Computer Scientist in applying operations research and computer science theory, methods, and techniques and a professional in scientific work requiring the design, development, and adaptation of computer based mathematical, statistical, and econometric models providing advice and insight about the probable effects of alternative courses of action. Incumbent is responsible for utilizing expert judgement and extensive background to identify and initiate action on impending problems or required areas of analysis by establishing task objectives, defining alternatives, constraints and assumptions; developing, modifying and applying required methodologies, techniques and tools.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be able to obtain & maintain a Top Secret (TS) Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Security clearance for intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP).
This is a designated Drug Testing Position.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Degree in operations research; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus. Advanced degree(s) are preferred.
TRANSCRIPTS MUST BE INCLUDED.
In-depth knowledge of a broad range of computer science and operations research techniques with possession of analytical abilities.
Extensive knowledge of computer science techniques and methods used to develop, adapt, modify, and apply models to resolve problems or define and clarify alternative solutions.
Expert knowledge of quantitative techniques and methods used to develop, adapt, modify, and apply models to resolve problems or define and clarify alternative solutions.
Ability to lead study teams; originate new ideas, projects, and methodologies; and execute projects and/or studies within established financial and/or time constraints.
Ability to develop and utilize appropriate data collection techniques and design, build, and use computer models and simulation techniques.
HIGHLY DESIRED:
Experience with modeling, simulations, and AF weapons systems.
