Unit Description:
This Pediatric/Medical Surgical 20-bed unit, cares for a combination of Pediatric and Adult patients. This unit provides the opportunity to expand your medical-surgical skills by caring for both pediatric and adult patients.
In this position you will care for pre and post-op patients, as well as conditions such as pneumonia, asthma, appendicitis, cellulitis, tonsils, etc. You must have experience with rapid assessments, IV starts, assessing lungs, respiratory treatments and providing education for discharge.
Qualifications:
RN Massachusetts license
In-patient, acute care pediatric RN experience is required, 2 years+ strongly preferred
BSN strongly preferred, BLS and PALS required
NRP preferred
