The Clinical Educator provides leadership, clinical practice expertise, education, program development, and consultation to promote clinical excellence.
This Educator uses problem-solving strategies and the nursing process to improve outcomes and/or achieve program goals. This candidate must also possess effective communication skills to develop positive working relationships.
This Educator works collaboratively with management and other leadership to develop criteria for patient care, assess health needs of patients, and evaluate nursing interventions to achieve optimal nursing practices outcomes.
This Educator facilitates problem-solving and decision-making to influence the development, implementation and evaluation of patient, unit, department and organizational goals and serves as a clinical expert in area of practice and role models this to hospital personnel and medical staff.
Conducts a comprehensive evaluation of all educational activities and utilizes this data for future programming
Collaborates with leadership and staff to develop and evaluate educational programs.
Develops content and strategies to meet learning needs.
Coordinates orientation of nursing staff to the organization/unit.
Provides educational opportunities that benefit nurses at all stages of their career.
Delivers competence-based programs for nursing staff with a focus upon improvement of skills and retention of knowledge.
Education and Qualifications:
Massachusetts RN Licensure.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). required, MSN preferred
Recent experience in hospital education and training, preferred
Proficiency computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and related computer applications
Excellent written and oral communications skills
Hours:
40 hours/week
No weekends are required!
Day/Eve Schedule with flexible hours!
