About the Role:
The Air Force Test Center is looking for a Full-Time Supervisory Operations Research Analyst (NH-1515-03) to work at the 96th Test Wing, 96th Cyberspace Test Group, 46th Test Squadron, TGBB/Seeker/Sensor Defensive Systems Test Flight at Eglin Air Force Base.

Location: Valparaiso, FL (Eglin Air Force Base)
Typical 2024 salary range: $86,962 - $134,435 per year (includes locality)
Telework Information: Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and Office of Personnel Management (OPM) prescribed "Unscheduled Telework"
Travel Requirements: Up to 25% travel possible

- Knowledge of C5ISR-T is desired
- Knowledge of modeling and simulation desired
- Knowledge of Seeker/Sensor technologies, foreign threat systems, camouflage, concealment, and deception materials is desired
- Knowledge of signature exploitation techniques is desired
- Highly effective communicator with the ability to brief programmatic updates to high-level leadership is highly desired.
Major Duties:
- Manage a team of analysts in planning, executing, and reporting on extensive signature exploitation test events
- Attend symposiums, and technical working groups to ensure future analysis capabilities meet or exceed the needs of the sensor development and intelligence community relevant to the warfighter
- Supervise personnel, plan work, set priorities & schedules, and evaluate performance
- Manages, plans, and organizes assigned projects, programs, and/or acquisitions to meet mission objectives
- Perform data analysis on very complex, difficult studies/tests/evaluations on an individual basis or as a lead team member responsible for completing defined portions of an overall work effort
- Provides technical guidance, advisory support, and assistance on an entire test project and/or major phases for broad and varied operations
- Advises other analysts on matters concerning scientific work requiring the design, development, and adaptation of mathematical, statistical, and other scientific methods and techniques.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Obtain & maintain appropriate Security clearance
- This is a designated Drug Testing Position
- Degree in Operations Research; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus (Check OPM Qualifications Standard and Individual Occupational Requirements (IOR) for Operations Research Series 1515
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical
- Occasional travel required away from normal duty station
- Knowledge of a wide range of principles, practices, and quantitative and qualitative evaluative techniques used in project analysis to identify, evaluates, resolve, and present issues or problems to isolate discrepancies or identify trends that impact organizational mission objectives both operationally and strategically
- Skill to use, manipulate, and or synthesize various data systems and sources of information to cross-correlate data and metrics to evaluate data within the context of operational environment, develop course of action to better support mission objectives, select and coordinate with appropriate parties of interest, and champion organizational opportunities in the corporate process
- Ability to recognize and analyze complex analytical problems, conducts research, gather, assemble, and analyze facts; draw conclusions; conduct analysis; devise recommended solutions; and summarize results of the entire process in briefings, papers, or reports suitable for top management use and decision-making
