Job Summary
Provides direct management and supervision of in-home services to ensure adherence to all local and State regulations, policies and laws relating to the provision of quality services to all members. Assist in employee coaching and development by providing direct guidance and leadership to direct support staff. Works in collaboration with all levels of management, agencies officials and staff necessary. Manages and determines staffing needs and requirements.

Knowledge Required: services supplied in accordance with required Arizona Rules and Regulations, AZ state contracts, facility program design and Person-Centered Plans; state and federal laws, Department of Health Services, Divion of Developmental Disabilities, AZ AHCCS,
Skills Required: Tact and discretion in a diverse, multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment; leadership skills, analytical skills, organizational skills, time management skills, interpersonal skills, independent judgement, and decision making; assist in analyzing situations and help adopt an effective course of action.
Abilities Required: Demonstrated ability working in a collaborative team environment, maintaining positive relationships; able to communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
Education and Experience:
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree Preferred and/or equivalent experience and other special training as required by the program designs, including contract required certificates. CPR, First Aid, Article 9, and if applicable, Prevention & Support certification required.
Minimum experience: 1-3 years of increasing management experience and/or responsibilities supervising 8-10 direct support professionals providing special services to adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Experience preferred with dual diagnosis adults and other developmental disabilities. Must maintain current certifications and training.
Essential Functions
- Manage DSP’s, assigning specific duties and monitoring all services.
- Responsible for staffing, training and individual employee coaching, discipline, and employee relations
- Responsible for employee leadership, growth, and succession planning in geographic area.
- Manage member records as specified by Arizona regulations
- Prioritize safety of employees and individuals supported, including Safety Program/Awareness/Recognition
- Act as agency liaison working with service providers, state representatives, Licensing authorities, agencies, and day programs, as needed.
- Ensure oversight through Quality Assurance reviews and regular site visits.
- Participate in Person Centered Support Plan (PCPS) team meetings.
- Available 24/7 and act as DSP back-up
- Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
Physical Requirements
This position works in an office, home and outside environment. This position frequently requires driving keying/fingering, hearing, seeing, speaking, standing, and walking. Also required occasionally is lifting, bending, kneeling, reaching and possible use of Hoyer lift.
