Job Description:
Exciting opportunity at MSK: Join our team as a Project Manager! We’re looking for a dynamic research professional for the Adusumilli Laboratory in the Department of Surgery.
Role Overview:
- Work collaboratively with Principal Investigators, research support, external collaborators, and lab members to manage projects from development to completion. Notable projects include the administration of multi-project/program grants.
- Manage projects and timelines; present recommendations and disseminate appropriate information.
- Maintain thorough knowledge and acts as main point of contact for all assigned projects
- Serve as intermediary for internal and external contacts for project inquiries. Initiate, develop, and disseminate correspondence to internal and external contacts on behalf of the leadership.
- Obtain, organize, analyze, and communicate data necessary for fulfilling project needs. Make recommendations regarding project or program based on analysis of information. Recommend metrics to measure success for projects or programs.
- Develop budget proposals for new projects. Monitor financial activity related to assigned areas. Conduct variance analyses between budget and actual spending for specific projects.
- Under guidance of Principal Investigator, participate in the development of scientific, business, and action plans for new initiatives. Identify and perform analyses to support program planning. Work closely with leadership to plan and implement new program initiatives.
Key Qualifications:
- At least 4-7 years of research or grant administration experience.
- Prior experience in clinical research, operations and relationship management.

- Outstanding attention to detail and strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent editorial skills.
- Project planning, assessing risks, proper resource allocation, and performance tracking to achieve project goals.
- Ability to anticipate and balance the needs of multiple stakeholders.
- Planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving to ensure unforeseen issues are handled appropriately and resolved in a timely fashion.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact across all levels in a confident, professional manner.
