Professional Nurse Student - Mercy Joplin
Mercy's Professional Nurse Student program provides students in a LPN to RN program the opportunity to receive a $4,000 bonus monthly for the completion of their practicum (preceptorship/clinicals) at a Mercy Joplin hospital .
Students will receive structured support throughout your practicum with various members of Mercy leadership, including supervisors, clinicians, and nurse managers

Overview:
As a student in an approved registered nurse or practical nurse school of nursing, the Professional Nurse Student participates in clinical course work under the direction of an RN. The Professional Nurse Student assists in the individualized care of the patient to achieve the patient’s highest level of wellness working cooperatively with others as part of the healthcare team and performs designated clinical procedures and nonclinical support tasks within the scope of the designated nursing school program. This position is specifically designated for individuals enrolled in an accredited nursing program seeking clinical experience as part of their education curriculum. It is important to note that this role is not a paid or employed position with Mercy. Instead, it is a learning opportunity aimed at fulfilling educational requirements and gaining hands-on experience in a healthcare setting. The Professional Nurse Student’s participation in this program is voluntary and solely for educational purposes. The Professional Nurse Student will work under the supervision of licensed healthcare professionals to enhance their clinical skills, develop critical thinking abilities, and apply theoretical knowledge to real-life patient care scenarios.

Stipend Information:
- A total of a $20,000 Total Bonus Allowance will be given in this role. Five $4,000 payouts per month (January, February, March, April, May )
Qualifications:
- Required Education: Currently accepted and enrolled in Franklin Tech LPN to RN program .
- Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association before caring for patients independently.
- Other: Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills are required, and must be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Must be able to operate various types of office equipment, including a computer, telephone, and printer.
