What you will do
The Operations & Maintenance Technician is part of BOSK’s newly constructed electric vehicle battery manufacturing plant. This is a performance based, 12-year, O&M contract providing hard services of MEP equipment within the facility, excluding the manufacturing and production equipment. The objective is to maintain a seamless environment by assuring that equipment is performing to specifications to facilitate uninterrupted manufacturing. Conduct preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning and general servicing of HVAC systems (including detailed troubleshooting of systems). The role will perform a variety of repairs and services in a specialized building system environment with a high emphasis on HVAC, Mechanical Systems, building maintenance. Working knowledge of Electrical / Electronic BAS, and other similar types of related equipment and low voltage systems is a PLUS.
How you will do it
Service, Repair, Maintain, Monitor and Adjust HVAC systems to keep within allowable parameters.
Accomplishing preventive maintenance management and repairs for HVAC, Boilers, Chillers, Pumps, electrical systems, fire alarm systems, security systems, and building automation systems.
Provides direction and training to less experienced O&M Specialists.
Plans, selects, and lays out required materials for service, repair, and preventive maintenance work.
Works from drawings, schematics, blueprints, job layouts or verbal instructions and operates a variety of tools and machines incidental to operations.
Requisitions new supplies and equipment.
Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
Is required to participate in an on-call rotation schedule to attend to emergency situations at the facility.
Complies with all company policies and procedures and adhere to company standards.
Perform other duties as required.
What we look for
Preferred Requirements:
Requires two-year technical degree or two years of relevant, or completion of an apprenticeship program.
Requires in-depth knowledge of various maintenance fundamentals sufficient to deal with service and repairs.
Knowledge of the following trades/skills: electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance
Working on mission critical projects
Knowledge of OSHA codes and regulations
Working knowledge of Metasys (BMS) and low voltage control systems.
Must be physically able to perform basic maintenance tasks to the highest caliber, which includes ability to: climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs., etc.
Must be able to work varying shifts, weekends, holidays, and special maintenance events as needed.
Required to use a variety of hand and power tools or man lift.
Requires Universal EPA Refrigeration Certification.
May be required to possess a valid driver’s license.
Must be a team player committed to working in a quality environment.
Must be able to pass a thorough background check and subject interview.
