RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Quality Coordinator for the Quality Resource Services department at the Barnabas Health Behavioral Health Center.
The Barnabas Health Behavioral Health Center (with Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus Behavioral Health Services) constitutes a freestanding 100-bed acute care psychiatric facility which provides inpatient and intensive outpatient programs for adults and older adults diagnosed with psychiatric and dual disorders. Our Registered Nurses assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for psychiatric patients in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act for the State of New Jersey and the policies and procedures of the Barnabas Health Behavioral Health Center. All methods of practice shall conform to written hospital policies and procedures and be carried out to the highest achievable level of competence in a manner demonstrating concern and consideration. The Registered Nurse will demonstrate Barnabas Health's philosophy to Total Quality Management by actively applying that philosophy in all dealings with both internal and external customers.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Minimum of 5 years clinical experience
Certifications and Licenses Required:
- BLS certification
- Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License
Preferred:
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing or relevant field of study
- Prior experience with PI and data collection/analysis
- Clinical experience in a behavioral health setting

Essential Functions:
- The Quality Coordinator will assist in developing an organizational culture of quality care and performance improvement
- Utilizes a variety of data reports to measure, analyze and improve clinical quality and outcomes
- Performs chart audits, workflow analysis and other activities to measure and monitor clinical quality
- Will assess, recommend, implement and monitor appropriate measures to track performance and identify areas of opportunity to facilitate improvement teams and provide education to staff based on identified needs
- Assist medical staff through the Peer Review process and actively supports National Patient Safety Goals and High Reliability initiatives within the organization
- Assist with monitoring accreditation and regulatory standards and participates in hospital surveys
