Job Description
We are looking for a Educational Programs Coordinator to oversee mentors and organize facility activities. This position will be a part-time contract and hybrid.
What You’ll Do
As Statewide Reentry Liaison, support the transition of our mentees from the facility to the community by supporting them and their mentor
Work closely with HOPE's Executive Director and Site Coordinators to exchange updates on the status of mentors, mentees, and reentry-related events and programming
Work closely with mentors, facility staff, and community members to organize and support HOPE with special events, like the Dress Your Best workshops.
Serve as the Statewide Co-Mentoring Director and work to coordinate mentoring relationships among the three juvenile facilities
Respond to mentor logs, monitor mentor progress on HOPE training modules, and facilitate communication between mentors and the facilities
Arrange facility trainings for HOPE Mentors
Work with transition coordinators to coordinate virtual mentoring
Support student employment initiatives as part of reentry through job searches, resume writing, and interview skills training
What You'll Need
Required:
Experience with overseeing mentors
Experience with organizing facility activities
Experience with facilitating training
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
