Our growing Rea Information Services team is looking for a Technology Specialist to join our team and provide technology support to our clients. This position will require on-site work at various client locations.
The Technology Specialist provides comprehensive technical support to our clients by responding, managing and monitoring services and project tickets. The Technology Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting our external clients by providing technical expertise, troubleshooting, and ensuring the optimal performance of their IT infrastructure. This position requires a basic understanding of various technologies, strong communication skills, and the ability to deliver exceptional customer service. Â
Responsibilities
- Respond, manage, monitor level 1 and 2 support requests as assigned as well as project tickets as assignedÂ
- Monitoring and managing escalation of assigned service and project ticketsÂ
- Triage incoming calls and support tickets submitted by clientsÂ
- Coach, mentor and develop those in the Technology Triage Specialist roleÂ
- Set up and deploy Workstations, Printers, and other Hardware as assigned on client sitesÂ
- Act as âTech of Dayâ or work with designated âTech of Dayâ to triage and dispatch critical tickets that get generatedÂ
- For a dedicated day of the week, respond and provide 1st level support to critical tickets & escalate if need beÂ
- Identify alerts in remote management and monitoring systems that require resolution and dispatch to appropriate staffÂ
- Monitor client server backup jobs, resolve errors as neededÂ
- Create and maintain client documentation for assigned clientsÂ
- Test recovery of client data and serversÂ
- Manage client anti-virus solutions to ensure functionality and version healthÂ
- Configure and install new workstations for clientsÂ
- Generate predefined reports and send them to client contacts on a scheduled basisÂ
- Use RIS (Rea Information Services) systems to monitor client environments and record details of work performedÂ
- Conduct on-site support tasks at client locationsÂ
- Perform additional duties as assignedÂ

- Proficient in customer service and communication, adept at effectively engaging with clients and addressing their needsÂ
- Solid knowledge of networking components. E.g. Switches, routers, servers and workstationsÂ
- Experience with enterprise backup and antivirus solutionsÂ
- Familiarity with enterprise Lenovo, Microsoft, HP, and Dell workstations and laptopsÂ
- Understanding of Windows 2012 â 2022 server and Windows 7, 8, 10, and 11 workstation operating systems, Microsoft Office ApplicationsÂ
- Basic computer building and deploymentÂ
- Introductory experience with cloud-based technologiesÂ
- Must type a minimum of 40 Words Per MinuteÂ
- Two-year degree in technology related field or equivalent work experience and industryÂ
- Prior experience working in an MSP environment preferredÂ
- COMPTIA A+, COMPTIA Network+, Microsoft fundamentals, CCNA, or relevant introductory I.T certification preferred Â
- Reliable transportation required to respond at client site if requiredÂ
