Deburr Operator / Production Operator
1st Shift: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
Job Summary:
Deburr, ream, and chamfer machined products using manual benchtop drill press and pedestal buffers; to remove all burrs, tool marks, and to break all sharp edges. May use manual machines or to correct small deficiencies. Reads and interprets work orders and related documents to determine method and sequence of operations. Completes work on parts that require special attention to detail.
Essential Job Functions:
· Manually deburring machined products using a variety of benchtop tools and machinery.
· Operate drill press and bench grinders/buffers.
· Chamfer and countersink existing holes on machined products.
· Ability to use micrometers, calipers, and gauge pins; to ensure product conformity.
· Inspects Surface finishes to ensure compliance with part drawings and work orders.
· Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and other job-related documents.
· Measure and visually inspect products to ensure compliance with blueprint.
· Ensure quality gauges and hand tools are in proper working condition.
· Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
· Must adhere to Company EHS and Quality Policy.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience of manually deburring machined parts required
- Use of hand and power tools required
- High School diploma or GED
- Ability to perform basic math
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to read and understand procedures, routers and instructions
- Flexibility in work assignments
- Must be able to continuously perform grasping, reaching, pushing, pulling, and walking
- Must be able to handle continuous standing 8-10 hours daily
- Must be able to perform frequent lifting up to 50 lbs. independently and up to 70 lbs. with assistance
- Must be able to work daily and weekly overtime as required
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required
