What you'll do...The Senior Channel Manager role sits within Growth Marketing, which is accountable for effectively and seamlessly guiding prospects and clients into starting and building deep, personal relationships with Edward Jones' financial advisors. This role is critical to driving acquisition, expansion and retention of millions of prospects and clients across the U.S. and Canada.
The Sr. Channel Management Specialist- Direct to Consumer channels, is responsible for leading the strategy and activation of high-impact direct-to-consumer channels that drive acquisition, expansion, and retention of millions of prospects and clients across US and Canada. This person will play a critical role in the transformation and modernization of direct-to-consumer marketing, bringing together strategy, consultation, optimization, measurement and deep subject matter expertise to evolve the firm's email, direct mail and other direct to consumer channels that help the firm and its 19k financial advisors reach Edward Jones' millions of clients. They will build and reach ideal target audiences, deliver full-funnel personalized experiences to both clients and prospects, produce comprehensive data analysis, and optimize capabilities to drive firm revenue.
- Lead multi-location marketing channel strategy, activation and management - Lead the strategic planning, execution, activation and performance of multiple high-impact home-office direct-to-consumer channels that span across multiple touchpoints and impact thousands of branch teams and millions of clients and prospects. Lead strategy and optimization of marketing programs and alignment of channels across the full funnel journey such as Paid Media, Organic Media, Search, Social, public website and digital tools partnering across the firm to deliver on marketing strategies and firm revenue goals.
- Support Go-To-Market Strategies - Lead the firm in direct-to-consumer channel-related guidance and journey orchestration tools (namely Salesforce Marketing Cloud). Provide marketing consultation and education to various internal collaborators and deliver performance and insights aligned to the firm revenue goals.
- Personalization and Targeting - Deliver personalized, targeted omni-channel plans that deliver value to audiences and have significant business impact. Responsible for overseeing delivery of value across multiple channels, coordinating across multiple areas. Use data to discover and optimize audience selection and to test experiences with target audiences.
- Measurement, Analytics and Optimization - Lead analysis of and accountable for performance outcomes of multiple direct-to-consumer and branch-facing channels. Leverage external data sources and user behavior to derive marketing insights and make recommendations to improve performance across the full marketing funnel. Supports development of the marketing analytics dashboards, MMM/MTA models and optimization strategy.
- Budget Management and Accountability - Responsible for ensuring the multi-million dollar investment in Growth Marketing delivers against firm revenue goals including growing net new households and assets.
- Leadership - Manage external agencies and technology partners. May lead matrixed teams that include full-time associates or freelance support.
- Channel Governance - Lead the development of marketing best practices and preserve channel integrity by informing key stakeholders about channel guidelines that align with client experience strategy.
- Brand - Responsible for ensuring brand is accurately represented across direct-to-consumer channel experiences and touchpoints. Establish a close working relationship with reputation, brand strategy, messaging, and agency teams to ensure channel experiences align to brand vision.
- Channel identification and innovation - Proactively and consistently identify emerging trends and innovating channels that align with client experience. Develop the business case and lead teams to develop and implement new channels in support of firm revenue goals.

Skills/RequirementsWhat you'll need...- Bachelor's degree with a concentration in communication, marketing, journalism, web development or information management preferred or related/equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of experience in marketing with at least 5+ years of experience in Database Marketing, CRM, Email, Digital, Direct Mail, and/or 1:1 marketing experience
- Multiple years in hands-on experience creating marketing campaigns in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, inclusive of Journey Builder, Email Studio, Automation Studio, and Data Extensions
- Experience supporting franchise models and/or local marketing strategies is a bonus
- Deep knowledge of standard and current marketing practices including targeting, personalization, and delivery through direct-to-consumer touchpoints.
- Proficient in analyzing and interpreting raw data, shaping strategic narratives, and optimizing through data-driven decision making
- Strong organizational and leadership skills, including the ability to deliver under strict deadlines, handle multiple priorities simultaneously and lead matrixed teams.
- Excellent communication skills are required.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic marketing environment and demonstrated ability to work independently, navigating matrixed leadership and teams to accomplish shared results.
- Must be highly flexible and comfortable working through frequently changing time frames and short deadlines.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with senior firm leaders. Must be able to influence others and explain channel best practices and professionally explain decisions, even when they are in conflict with others' desires.
Candidates that live within in a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.
