Reporting to the Department Director this position provides health care services, exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics. This position requires experience in all areas of clinical lab. Abides by the RCH HR policies and informs the Administrative team of any violations observed. This position will work within the quality improvement processes to assure compliance with all regulatory requirements (JCAHO), and College of American Pathologists (CAP) accreditation requirements and state and federal guidelines. The position will be responsible for staff technical education, and testing proficiency for the section.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in Medical Technology, or Biological Science preferred.
2. Completion of an approved internship or formal training program in Medical Technology preferred.
3. Valid California license as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist.
4. Three years experience in laboratory testing required.
5. Three years supervisory experience preferred.
