DescriptionSummary:
To provide clinical nursing expertise; utilizing the nursing process to evaluate and to perform direct patient care. Assesses, plans, coordinates, implements and evaluates nursing care for individuals or groups of patients. Serves as a patient advocate within the health care system. Responsible for performing patient care requiring specialized training and skills and/or directing and guiding others in the performance of direct patient care activities. Provides safety, comfort, care, and treatment of patients according to legal, ethical, and institutional standards. Responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Hyperbaric chambers and related support systems. Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance on the Hyperbaric chambers and related support systems. Assists with maintaining all Hyperbaric safety-related standards. Ensures line-up, shut down and all operational procedures are followed.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or equivalent. BSN preferred.
- Must complete a 40 hours NBDHMT approved Hyperbaric Medicine Introductory course.
- Current Louisiana RN license.
- Current BLS certification required.
