Job Purpose
Develop electrical systems and connectivity/app solutions for ATV/SxS, Marine and Power Equipment products.
Key Accountabilities
Electrical Design Engineer
• Develop or guide others to develop complex component and system layouts for ATV/SxS vehicles that meet targets, requirements, and manufacturing requisites without supervision. Break down complicated work and delegate appropriately. Maintain accurate technical, development, and administrative documentation.
• Establish cost targets for responsible parts that contribute to achievement of development targets. Optimize part/system designs to ensure targets are met.
• Create and manage work schedules to ensure deadlines are achieved. Communicate resource needs/concerns with supervisor, and effectively utilize contractor resources with limited supervision. Communicate project status real time and participate in project meetings and development events.
• Generate ideas contributing to the evolution of new technologies. Lead and reinforce maturation of ideas to prepare for development application without supervision.
• Prioritize, lead and address market quality themes. Utilize problem-solving methods to analyse root causes. Develop and implement C/M specs as necessary without supervision. Lead recurrence prevention.
Connectivity Solution Development
• Work closely with connectivity planning leader to align on technology strategy and roadmap for ATV, SxS, Marine and Power Equipment products.
• Set hardware/software requirements and targets.
• Work with outside companies to develop connectivity/app solutions.
• Test prototype solutions to ensure function/performance targets are achieved.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Minimum Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or related discipline or equivalent work experience
Minimum Experience:
- 8 years of Connectivity/APP development or related experience.
Other Job-Specific Skills:
- Experience determining and overseeing software development initiatives and estimating resource requirements.
- Demonstrated success in defining and building Connectivity/APP products.
- Strong project management skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong collaboration skills across diverse and matrixed stakeholders and customers.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, including experience leveraging data to enhance decision making.
- Ability to communicate complex technical information in a condensed manner to various stakeholders verbally and in writing/presentations.
- Proficiency with programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, multiple web-based databases

Working Conditions
Travel: Average of 12 times per year, depending on project demand and may include international.
Physical: Primarily deskwork, frequent keyboarding and schedule flexibility is required.
Hazards: Maybe exposed to hazardous chemicals & equipment, including on/off road riding/driving.
Overtime: Expected based on project demands/responsibilities and includes frequently working outside of normal business hours, particularly late evenings for meetings with other time zones (e.g. Japan.)
