This Lab Supervisor position in our Coil division within the Color Science group will be responsible for a variety of exciting activities related to managing of color science priorities and projects, troubleshooting, and executing on agreed upon development plans for the team.

• Assist in laboratory staffing needs, including hiring, onboarding, training, development, tracking and evaluating performance, and performance management.
• Manages maintenance of priorities and projects with moderate guidance.
• Assists in supporting new business opportunities by prioritizing and developing new or updated formulas; will perform tasks that require comprehensive understanding of chemistry and technology platforms
• Assist in external and internal customer communication and supports customer visits
• Assist with developing project timelines, materials, personnel, and other project requirements, receives direction and presents information to management.
• Assist in gathering project data and presenting to stakeholders and management internally
• Determines corrective action and implements changes, receives direction on medium complex or unique circumstances.
• Applies department policies and procedures and applicable laws, rules, and regulations; ensures compliance with these areas.
• Comprehensive understanding of products, formulation, application, industry, and customer requirements
• Performs other duties as assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s of Science in STEM and/or 2-3 years prior laboratory experience
• 2-3 years of lab experience
• Applying basic project management concepts and basic business administration principles and practices
• Applying department policies and procedures and applicable laws, rules, and regulations
• Applying comprehensive application methods and procedures
• Applying chemistry principles and practices; including formulation of liquid coating
• Communicating technical information
• Advanced PC skills; including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 1 year of prior management with direct reports experience.
• Supervising and evaluating employees
• Coil and/or Extrusion experience.
• Color theory experience.
• Microsoft 365 Apps (PowerApp, etc) experience.
