POSITION TITLE: Level III Technician DAS
CLASSIFICATION: Non - Exempt
POSITION OVERVIEW:

ADB Wireless is seeking a skilled Level III Technician DAS that will be expected to accomplish project objectives by the leadership of the Foreman. The Technician will work in indoor and outdoor DAS environments installing coax, remotes, antennas, and their associated cabling safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong belief in the safety and well-being of team members, as well as a strong work ethic and ALL IN attitude to achieve results.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Install base station equipment and fiber jumpers in network hub buildings
- Utilize an OTDR for testing and troubleshooting fiber optic cable installs
- Layout and install overhead cable ladders and equipment racks
- Route and lace cables in equipment rooms
- Safely install and wire DC powerplants from the DC side
- Maintain cable labeling schemes across large installs
- Properly route and secure Fiberoptic cables and DC power wiring
- Fabricate steel in the field for custom/modifying mounts (antennae or rough mounts)
- Troubleshoot fiber, power, and RF issues using PIM/Sweep gear and fiber tester
- Take Pre-Construction and Closeout photos accurately
- Perform installation of Low Voltage, RF, Cellular Systems in customer locations
- Work on communications equipment to install, replace, and repair Cellular antenna systems equipment, under supervision
- Set up a small cell jobsite including safety cones, traffic control, signage, and equipment/materials tear down, ensuring job site cleanliness
- Safely operate assigned company equipment and ensure maintenance according to manufacturer’s specifications
- Recognize hazards associated with installing equipment, construction equipment, and working near energized lines and equipment
- Assist DAS Technicians with testing coax and fiber
- Proficient in knot tying including Double Figure 8, Bowline, Pipe Hitch, Clove Hitch, Munter hitch, and Prusik
- Route, install, and weatherproof ½” or ¼” coax jumpers
- Understand and provide crane signals to crane operators
- Perform other position duties as requested

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions like sitting, squatting, standing, walking, climbing, etc.
- May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels while onsite
- Must endure regular exposure to all weather conditions, including hot, cold, humidity and rain through the year
- When working on site, will be required to wear common protective of safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and steel toed boots.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
- 3+ years of experience in the career field associated with a Wireless Technologies preferred
- First Aid / CPR certification preferred
- RF Awareness Training preferred
- OSHA30 certification preferred
- Valid driver license with a clean driving record required
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
