Associate Director, Compensation
Position Summary:
The Associate Director, Compensation will be an experienced leader and serve as a strategic partner by collaborating with leadership across the organization and Human Resources Professionals globally to achieve business priorities through a comprehensive Compensation Strategy, to ensuring compensation programs align with the goals of the company and support a high-performance culture by rewarding and attracting top talent. This role will remain current on Industry trends, best practices and compliance and drive operational excellence and innovation in all areas of responsibility:
Job Functions:
- Oversee compensation day to day operations, and provide support to HR leaders, business partners, and vendors as needed.
- Collaborate and partner with leadership to understand the challenges related to compensation and other reward programs and key issues in attracting, motivating and retaining high quality, diverse talent.
- Define and communicate Compensation philosophy, compensation architecture and related programs.
- Work closely with the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors to ensure governance of the Company’s Compensation and Rewards programs.
- Validate the effectiveness of compensation programs, ensuring market competitiveness and business objectives are achieved.
- Manage compensation projects from design through delivery, including budgeting, financial modeling, project planning, developing systems and tools, communication, and training.
- Work closely with finance partners to ensure effective decision-making, budget, and execution of all compensation plans.
- Conduct internal training and communication on current and changing compensation and programs.
- Manage the design, development, implementation, communication, and administration of leave of absence programs.
- Remain current on industry trends, best practices, and compliance.
- Oversee the management of long-term incentive programs.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include but are not limited to: training and mentoring employees; planning, assigning, delegating and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and resolving employee issues.
Qualifications
Position Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field required.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in functional areas such as Compensation, Sales Compensation and Executive Compensation
- 7+ years of leadership experience.
- In depth expertise designing innovative compensation models across different employee segments and have experience with executive compensation program design and governance.
- Success in creating and articulating complex strategies and plans to both executive management and peers.
- Experience with Executive and Board Compensation
- Experience working cross functionally with key stakeholders across a global organization, managing relationships and organizational change dynamics with discretion and tact.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word)
- Knowledge of Human Resource Management software (SuccessFactors)

- Ability to evaluate, design and recommend compensation programs based on market assessment and business strategy.
- Excellent strategic, analytical and financial skills.
- A business-wide thinker, with a lens on how decisions made within one site or unit may affect others across the business.
- Driven self-starter with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to operate independently as well as in a team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to comfortably handle difficult conversations
- Ability to establish strong partnerships with internal customers to ensure a high level of customer service and relationship building.
