Job Purpose
- Honda's Accessory Development Division (ADD) in the Automotive Development Center (ADC) develops Automotive Accessories installed at the dealer to enhance the customers’ buying experience. As a member of the Accessory Development Division, this Test Engineer tests accessory components and technologies in our vehicles, ensuring that all marketability, reliability, regulatory, profitability, manufacturing, and performance requirement targets are met.
Key Accountabilities
- Project Management – work within pre-defined schedules to set and manage goals
- Testing & Simulation - ensure assigned parts meet required test criteria
- Data Collection & Analysis – collect & analyze data using pre-set tools & methods
- Documentation- prepare and present test result documentation
- Engineering Specifications - issue test specifications for evaluation of components
- Integration & Correlation – work cross functionally internally and externally to relay information
- Supplier Management – coordinate schedules for supplier testing & reporting
- Engineering Solution Design – conduct testing countermeasure activity where needed
- Improvement & Innovation – seek to optimize components & processes
- Personal Development – develop expertise & capability through training activities

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree of Science in Engineering or equivalent experience Minimum Experience
- Minimum 3 years of technical experience3-5 years technical experience
- Minimum 1 year project leadership experience preferred Other Job-Specific Skills
- Small group project management
- Experience regarding Honda development flow preferred
- Demonstrated junior colleague mentoring
- Ability to read\write Honda drawings and or data preferred
- Skilled presenter
- Effective cross functional communicator
- Proficient in various software platforms (NEWS, Catia, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and others)
