Summary
This position will help ensure a standardized approach to all Terminal Services maintenance activities, scope and develop project work, serve as equipment Subject Matter Experts (SME), and support the development of Terminal Services Technicians and Specialists. This position will be within the Mechanical & Vapor Control Engineering (M&VCE) organization in Logistics and Storage Terminals.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as equipment-specific SME for vapor recovery and combustion units, with an emphasis on controls and instrumentation
- Develop and implement strategic goals targeting the efficiency, reliability, and modernization of M&VCE owned equipment and processes
- Assist in optimizing maintenance strategies based on equipment trending and maintenance history
- Coordinate spare equipment initiatives with M&VCS personnel and rotating equipment engineers
- Scope and develop projects to be managed by M&VCS and L3S, including budget planning and requests
- Lead the development of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) logic for optimization and reliability of vapor control systems
- Maintain a thorough understanding of existing and proposed regulations affecting vapor control equipment to ensure compliant operations
- Mentor new and experienced employees
- Serve as evaluator and content developer for Terminal Services Technicians within the Skills and Training for Terminal Employee Progression (STTEP) program
- Investigate and support technology and software improvements
- Lead investigations of major equipment failures or incidents and develop recommendations to prevent recurrence
- Develop & maintain maintenance procedures
Requirements
Bachelor’s in engineering required; Electrical Engineering preferred.
A minimum of five (5) years of Electrical, Instrumentation, or Mechanical Systems experience is required; ten (10) or more years of Electrical, Instrumentation, or Mechanical Systems experience is preferred.
Travel Required: 20-50%. Driver's License required.
