ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Senior Foreman at ADB, you'll take on advanced-level responsibilities, including:
- Mastering manual labor and operations at an advanced level, such as hand digging, traffic control setup, advanced equipment operations, fiber placement, loading materials, operating equipment, and leading crews on safety-sensitive utility construction sites.
- Excelling in utility print and map reading, ensuring efficient operations.
- Ensuring proper handling of materials and equipment, loading and unloading them at construction yards and jobsites.
- Reviewing, understanding, and providing redline and production reports to supervisors and upper management, contributing to project success.
- Possessing a deep understanding of project scope changes and demonstrating the ability to identify change orders.
- Demonstrating extensive knowledge of fiber installation and utility industry operations, taking on challenging projects with complex installation needs, varying ground conditions, specific equipment requirements, and emergency situations.
- Proving at least 2 years of independent operating experience with various equipment, fully trained in safety regulations for heavy equipment operation.
- Supporting and leading the setup and shutdown of utility construction projects, including traffic control, in diverse conditions.
- Making safety an unwavering expectation, leading by example, and adhering to required safety practices for safety-sensitive duties.
- Exhibiting professionalism in communication with customers, subcontractors, homeowners, and effectively addressing any complaints or issues that may arise.
- Playing a key role as a trainer, contributing to the development and growth of other crew members.
- Inspiring a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with safety rules and regulations, and leading others on jobsites.
- Engaging in on-the-job training with supervisors, fostering your skills in the utility construction trade.
- Cultivating a hazard-identifying culture through the pre-task process.
- Fulfilling other position duties as requested.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
To thrive in this exciting role, we're looking for candidates with:
- 5+ years of experience in utility construction, including crew leadership, foreman roles, and/or senior foreman positions.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as hydro, directional drill, mini excavator, and plow.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- CDL License (or the ability to obtain one).
- A high school diploma or equivalent qualification.
This position starts at $33 an hour & is determined by experience & skillset.
