Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - Med/Surg
Shift: Variable, 12x3, 36 hrs per week, EOW, holiday rotation
Length: 13 weeks
On Call/Call Back : Would only be on call if agreeable to do so due to low census. Call back would only occur in an emergency situation
Requirements:
- IA /compact license
- Minimum 2 years experience in specialty area
- Previous experience working in Critical Access Hospital
- Required Skillset: Ability to work independently in MedSurg. Must have Critical Access experience. Ability to work in charge nurse capacity as back-up. Previous charge experience
- BLS
- ACLS
- Electronic Medical Record – EPIC charting experience beneficial
Other:
- Float : Critical Access Hospital. Float to like units as needed.
- Unit Information (Bed size, Case type, Patient ratio): 25 – bed Critical Access Hospital. Med/Surg – 20 beds, OB – 4 LDRP, 1 – post-partum/c-section prep.
- Average Daily Census: Med/Surg 8 - 10 , majority are skilled care level, OB – average 85 – 90 deliveries per year.
- Nurse to Patient Ratio: OB – (Low risk) 1:1 active labor, 1:2 for early labor, post-partum (couplets) up to 1:3 (1:3 is a rare occurrence), Med/Surg – up to 1:5 typical is 1:3-4
- Scrub colors: Staff choice for Med/Surg

Pay rate is estimated based on weekly gross income.
Weekly gross pay based on qualifications and experience. Rate applies to travel positions only (50+ miles from permanent address).
