DescriptionSummary:
An OR Registered Nurse is responsible for providing patient care in the OR environment. Delivery of patient care through the process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation. In addition, the Registered Professional Nurse delegates, coordinates, and supervises the OR team members to ensure patient safety. The OR Registered Nurse is able to provide direct and indirect care to patients.
Requirements:
A. Education/Skills
Graduate of a State Board School of Nursing or equivalent.
B. Experience
One (1) year nursing experience preferred
C. Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
Current RN license in the State of Texas.
AHA BLS required.
AHA ACLS – required within 6 months.
PALS preferred
CNOR - preferred
Medication Competence – within two (2) weeks of employment
Computer Competence- within four (4) weeks of employment
