Regional Director of Clinical Services
RiverWoods is currently hiring for a Regional Director of Clinical Services to come and join our team! The Regional Director of Clinical Services will provide strategic clinical leadership and guidance to our assisted living and skilled nursing communities, ensuring the highest standards of resident care. This role will encompass oversight of clinical operations, regulatory compliance, and the development of innovative care initiatives. The Director will lead the clinical team utilizing a collaborative approach to drive a best practice environment, focused on a wide range of activities designed to deliver quality clinical outcomes to our residents.

Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical leadership, direction, and professional development to the RiverWoods Director and Assistant Director of Health Service Team Members (DHS & ADHS), and nursing team across all communities.
- Support communication efforts to community Executive Directors (ED’s) on high-level clinical/risk concerns.
- Ensures effective and efficient operations, assists with allocation of resources to promote clinical quality outcomes and services.
- Oversees nursing practice, procedures, and policy standards are met.
- Collaborates with all levels of nursing staff, interdisciplinary teams, senior level leaders, and other stakeholders.
- Develops standardization to improve the quality and safety of care provided and to promote nursing excellence while improving efficiency.
- Builds and effectively communicates consensus across the leadership team on critical decisions related to their shared and individual scope of responsibilities.
- Develop and execute strategies related to population health, value-based care, quality, safety and resident experience.
- Provides day-to-day leadership within the organization, including advice, guidance direction and authorization to achieve the clinical goals and objectives of the organization.
- Champions high standards of care by implementing strategies and plans and advising staff on clinical services matters.
- Design, collaborate, develop and implement plans that focus on clinical excellence.
- Creates and maintains proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures and systems to meet and exceed the clinical goals.
- Ensure that all activities and operations are carried out in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, CARF, and other accreditations, RiverWoods compliance plan and all laws governing healthcare operations.
- Develop, implement, and review clinical procedures and policies manual.
- Observes, monitors and evaluates outcomes of all the facilities’ programs, policies, and procedures to ensure effectiveness and fulfill administrative and professional responsibility.
- Demonstrates leadership skills in principles of team building, motivation of others, conflict management/resolution and negotiation.
- Performs rounds throughout the day when in each community to ensure continuity of care is provided to all residents, promptly identify and respond to improve resident satisfaction, and observe staff activity and provide support and direction.
- Supports the DHS with daily operational needs.
- Collaborates with DHS, Infection Preventionist, and others in development, assessment, and delivery of staff educational needs, training development and clinical skills.
- Provides educational offerings to meet current clinical standards of practice in the aging services industry through use of data, assessment, and collaboration with stakeholders.
- Actively participates in the QAPI processes and educational opportunities to improve clinical quality outcomes and measures.
- Helps to identify and address areas of improvement in resident care.
- Advocates for resident centered practices and fosters an environment that prioritizes care.
- Actively participate in survey inspections by government agencies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in nursing required. Master’s degree preferred.
- Must possess and maintain a current, valid, unencumbered New Hampshire RN license.
- 5 - 10 years Long Term Care (or equivalent) supervisory and/or managerial experience required. 10+ years preferred
- Experience leading care delivery in a skilled nursing facility setting, with a particular preference for effectively leading large scale clinical operations.
- Intermediate computer proficiency skills with Microsoft Office applications.
- Must have a solid working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records systems.
- Must have good interpersonal relations with proven communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with Time and Attendance software systems is necessary.
- Must be able to cope with frequent interruptions and manage multiple, competing priorities.
- Must be able to work hours as scheduled based on the requirements of the position and the facility.
- Must be able to work on-site at any RiverWoods location as needed.
- CPR certified.
