Responsibilities- Perform occupational therapy assessment procedures utilizing techniques consistent with the patient’s diagnosis. Develop individualized treatment plan based on evaluation findings.
Provide detailed and concise documentation of evaluation, treatment, interim reports, and discharge evaluations within departmental timelines. Provide all necessary documentation required for on-going patient care.
Participate in mentoring and training of clinical support staff, new professional staff, and students/volunteers in the aspects of patient care.
Participate in the development and implementation of departmental performance improvement.
Participate in the development and implementation of clinical program development.
Responsible for completing basic occupational therapy competencies in addition to departmental specific competencies.
- Meet productivity expectations for level of care and FTE status.
Utilize support staff and resources as per general guidance of departmental guidelines.
- Take ownership of assignments; other duties as assigned or requested.
Communicate and listen effectively with internal and external customers; effectively understands instructions and shares knowledge.
Cooperate and interact with supervisors, peers, other departments, and all customer groups demonstrating our commitment to “service”.
QualificationsJob Requirements
- Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
- Current Licensure or licensure eligible in Occupational Therapy in State of NM
- CPR
Preferred Job Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
- One (1) year experience in job-related environment
