Summary:
Position operates all equipment, computers, and digital imaging/processing equipment during assigned shift and on-call in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab). Performs duties such as scrub assistant, procedure documentation/hemodynamic monitoring, and safe X-ray equipment operation/digital processing as appropriate. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development to perform procedures on and assist in the care of the adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient.
Requirements:
- Current RT(R), RCIS, RCES
- Current Texas MRT license if current ARRT (R)
- Current BLS and ACLS-- American Heart Association
- Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology Program or an accredited Cardiovascular program or hold an RCIS license
- Prior acute care hospital experience preferred (Cath Lab/Cardiology, Advanced Diagnostic Radiology, Interventional Radiology, Electrophysiology)
- Basic knowledge of cardiac cath lab and hemodynamic monitoring
Must Obtain:
- ACLS within 1 year of hire
- Cath Lab Registry within (2) years of hire for Rad Tech
- Registry within 6 months if graduate from accredited cardiovascular program
