POSITION SUMMARY:Sugarbush Resort is seeking a Restaurant Manager at Rumble's Bistro and Bar, our premier restaurant located at the base of the mountain at Lincoln Peak. Rumble's General Manager plays a vital role in our year-round operation. They will be a daily example of professionalism and their attention to detail will set the framework for Rumble's staff. A positive attitude and approachable demeanor will help the staff to reach their full potential which in turn will create a great guest experience. This person is expected to create a pleasant work environment that employees enjoy working in. A strong knowledge of all areas of the restaurant operation is expected, there is no job too large or small. This is a Full-time Year-round position.
RESPONSIBILITIES: - Setting up daily floor plan for FOH employees.
- Maintain and organize lunch and/or dinner seating charts as needed.
- On the job training for FOH servers and support team members during every shift.
- Daily and nightly administrative duties, tip sheets, updating menus as needed, prompt email response.
- Resolve staffing issues with the chance of an unexpected absence from work.
- Resolve guest issues and create a welcoming atmosphere and generate return guest visits.
- Provide excellent customer service and leadership for all guests and team members.
- Ensures proper service etiquette is executed by all staff. Able to teach the necessary skills to accomplish this.
- Able to respond quickly and positively to changing conditions making necessary adjustments in a timely fashion.
- Delegate tasks with a smile. True team player.
- Clear communication to staff of all events and business needs.
- Deliver employee corrective actions. Able to use mistakes as training experiences.
- Properly write schedules according to business needs.
- Strong knowledge of menu layout/verbiage.
- Expected to attend weekly Banquet Event Order (BEO) with Sales & Marketing.
- Ensure all areas of the restaurant are ready for daily service.
- Active communication with Marketing department to promote specials and events.
- Proper product management skills including accurate ordering and monthly inventory.
- Organization and cleanliness of entire restaurant. Must have an eye for small detail.
- Execution of large group events.

QUALIFICATIONS:- 2-year minimum experience in restaurant supervision or management.
- Excellent communication and guest service skills.
- Must be detail-oriented, able to follow through, organized, motivated and able to maintain a calm, positive attitude during high-stress periods.
- POS and administrative experience - Microsoft Office, reservation system knowledge.
- Passion for the Hospitality Industry.
- Must be able to stand on your feet and walk for a 4 - 8 hours shift.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
- Must possess a well-rounded knowledge of food, wine and cocktails.
- Ability to communicate effectively with peers of varying backgrounds, experience and skill levels.
- Ability to control cost including labor and COG's.
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
- Must have reliable transportation especially in winter.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
- Must be responsible for leaning, and becoming proficient, in company software: Work Day, UKG, RTP, Yelp Reservations, and any other systems assigned.
- Must have a hospitality related degree or minimum 5 years in related field.
- Must have or obtain a valid food handler's license and Vt Liquor certification.
- Knowledge of different restaurant POS systems.
- Previous experience working in a high-volume food service setting.
- Fluent in English. Spanish is a plus but not mandatory.
