Veterinary Technician – Triage Nurse
We are looking to add to our growing hospital and are in search of Veterinary Nurses (vet tech) to support our Emergency Department as a Triage Nurse.
* A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in veterinary medicine as a Nurse is required.
Current CVT/LVT/RVT preferred or educational equivalent.
The schedule we are hiring for is:
Thursday through Saturday 2pm - 2am

Your skills & experience and how you'll utilize them to help our patients :
- Broad knowledge of basic small animal medicine (pharmacology, proper restraint/handling, venipuncture, laboratory testing)
- Sound understanding and knowledge of medical terminology, medications, and disease processes
- Provide medical care to patients arriving at the emergency room by using sound technical skills
- Prioritize care based on critical nature and severity of patient's condition
- Support the treatment floor and emergency service by performing a variety of nursing tasks as assigned
- Assist physicians with examinations, emergency procedures, and treatments.
- Perform venipuncture, lab procedures and other diagnostics.
- Attention to detail and a calm demeanor
- Ability to work in a fast paced, environment
- Proficient computer skills
- Communicate with clients, and team members (verbally and written)
- Fear Free handling: safe, stress free interactions for team members, clients, and patients
